Accommodation and facilities:

The rooms was quite spacious but not so well maintained. There was no electric kettle in the room for making coffee. There was no refrigerator in the room. The location was quite good and only about 5-10 min walk from the shopping and nightlife area. I ll not recommend anyone to stay in this hotel again as now I know about some hotels in Ko Samui which has better rooms at good locations at similar or less room tariff.

This place was good value for money. The rooms are a bit smelly but you get that in Thailand. We just had the air con on at all times and even burned incense in the bathroom. Very friendly staff. Can be loud at night with people coming home late. Mostly suited to younger travellers. Crystal the restaurant next door has amazing and cheap thai food too!

Hotel is nice and clean, man at reception was very friendly and funny. Also lady owner is very nice, will visit again. Good location, close to shops and beach...bar accross the road is open till late (dont go there)

The Chaweng Palace was a total disappointment for us. The room/atmosphere was too simple. The equipment of the room is poor e.g.: Minibar contains only 2 bottles of water, TV-quality ist minor. We checked out soon after check-in. For only 300 Bath more per night we got a very good Bungalow next to the beach.

Already when we entered the hotel we got a weird feeling from the people working there. It felt like they were hiding something. Perhaps they did. We had requested a double room with separate beds. The manager asked us to follow him to get our room. He looked like he was improvising and finally he opened a room and looked for our approval. Since it was a room with one bed we didn t want it. So he just gave us the room next-door where the door was opened. There was a strange smell in the room. Something is not right with this house. The toilet was a disaster. It looks very nice on the pictures with small stones between the small bricks on the floor. But if you think about it - how do you clean that everyday? The truth is - You don t!!! The toilet was very dirty and part of the toilet wasn t even finished. The room wasn t very clean which surprises you when you see 4-5 employees walking around in the hotell (pretending?) to clean the place. I don t see any reason for anyone to stay on this hotell. It s not cheap and there s just so many better hotels for this kind of money in Chaweng.
